״Rom Carmeli is living every entrepreneur’s dream. Investors lining up, VCs chasing him, and his startup valued in the billions. But he’s five minutes away from losing it all. A raw, brutally honest novel exposing the personal cost of chasing ‘just a little bit more.’"

"At a board meeting, if you can’t figure out who’s getting fucked in the first five minutes - it’s you."
- Ra’anan Cohen
How Much Is Enough?
"How much is enough?" John D. Rockefeller, the world’s first billionaire, was once asked.
“Just a little more,” he replied casually, without realizing he had just made a profound statement about human nature.
Our modern minds are wired to want more. More money. A newer car. The latest iPhone. Another trip abroad. More stories, more likes. The elusive "more” that, if only it arrives, will finally complete the puzzle. And when it does, almost instantly, a new "more" is born.
The exhausting cycle of want-get-accustom-want more gives no rest.
I could say, "I’m anti-materialist. I know my happiness isn’t tied to things." But what about that yoga retreat in Koh Phangan I’m craving? Or that next promotion I swear will finally make me content?
In the world of high-tech and startups, the chase is similar, only on steroids.
Investors push founders and employees not to sell their shares, to wait for the next rise, to risk it all.
That’s how dreams grow, and how they break.

About the Author
Hi, I’m Ra’anan.
Let’s get my publisher out of the way first: Ra’anan Cohen, serial entrepreneur, startup founder & CEO, IPO and Unicorn veteran. Ironman triathlete, ultra-runner, and veggie enthusiast. Author of Just a Little More (Hebrew title of Confessions of a Unicorn Founder), a novel that pulls back the curtain on the darker side of Israel’s Startup Nation.
Now let’s be honest, I pretty much conned my way into the tech world. At 30, I landed a job at a startup. Full-blown imposter syndrome from day one. When I was sure they’d catch onto the fact that I had no idea what I was doing, I announced I was leaving… to start my own company. Somehow, it worked. The startup grew, succeeded, went public, and then crashed back to zero. An eight-year roller coaster that left me with incredible memories but not a cent in my bank account (100% my fault!).
A few years later, I built another company. It became a unicorn. From raising $100M to the dizzying highs of IPOs, the crashes, and doing it all over again. It’s been one wild ride.
Running became my personal religion somewhere along the way. After two decades of chain-smoking and avoiding anything that looked like sport, I became an Ironman and ultra-marathoner. Running has shaped the way I think, lead, and navigate every “sliding doors” moment of my life.
These days, I spend my time mentoring young entrepreneurs, lecturing at universities, and giving back to the tech community. I’m also investing in startups, writing, and most importantly, focusing on family and the parts of life that don’t revolve around business.
I’d love to hear from you.
— Ra’anan
